In the presence of Rhineland-Palatinate’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Eveline Lemke, the PFI power-to-gas pilot plant was inaugurated during a ceremony held on 24 June at Pirmasens-Winzeln Energy Park. “Construction of PFI’s highly innovative pilot plant has dramatically raised the visibility of the energy turnaround in Rhineland-Palatinate”, Lemke commented. | ||

Technologies recently developed by
PFI in cooperation with regional companies will in future be marketed by
the Pirmasens-based company PFI-Bioraffinerietechnik GmbH which began

New service: PFI will in future also test and certify protective eyewear in accordance with DIN EN 166. Such products include sunglasses, motorcycling goggles, and ski goggles, as well as eyewear offering protection against mechanical injury. | ||

|
Current Status of the ADDFactor Project To help European footwear companies to keep a competitive edge, the EU is funding a transnational European research project called ADDFactor. PFI is a member of the project consortium, which unites research bodies from several European countries and shall be completed at the end of August, 2016.
